As Abilities Network proudly celebrates its 60th anniversary, we take a moment to honor the incredible contributions of our board members and partners who embody the spirit of our mission. One such individual is Kari Lamont, Vice President of Process Excellence & Automation at Kohler and a dedicated board member of Abilities Network.

Kari’s involvement with Abilities Network began in 2020, a year that marked the start of a deeply rewarding journey. One of her earliest memories was participating in a virtual tour of a local donut business, guided by a Community & Employment Partners team. The team’s interaction with the small business owner showcased their expertise and commitment. They navigated the complexities of running a small business with thoughtful questions and genuine interest, reflecting the team’s dedication to understanding and addressing the needs of their partners.

Another significant moment for Kari was attending a Project ACT training session focused on emotions and social impact. This training highlighted the transformative impact of Abilities Network’s programs and the invaluable skills they impart to individuals and communities.

“Watching a room full of childcare professionals learn new techniques, new ways of thinking, and gaining a network of peers was incredible.”

Over the past few years, Kari’s admiration for Abilities Network has deepened. She has been continuously impressed by the work of our partner programs and the remarkable individuals behind them.

As we mark this significant anniversary, Kari’s reflections highlight the dedication and teamwork that have been key to Abilities Network’s success. Her experiences with us underscore the impact of collaboration and the meaningful progress we achieve through our collective efforts.

“Lyn, Kathy, Allan, Sharon, Morgan, Heather, Stephanie – what an amazing team you have and what an incredible impact you make to our community! Happy 60th Anniversary, and cheers to 60 more!”
