We are thrilled to have celebrated a monumental milestone – Abilities Network’s 60th anniversary! For six decades, we have been dedicated to fostering inclusive communities and making a profound impact on the lives of individuals, children, families, seniors, child care providers, parents, and the entire Maryland community.
Since our founding in 1964 as the Epilepsy Association of Maryland, our journey has been marked by growth, resilience, and innovation. As we look back, we honor not only the milestones we’ve achieved but also the incredible people who have made our success possible – our passionate staff, volunteers, partners, and, most importantly, you, our community members.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at our 60th Anniversary Celebration. It was a wonderful evening to reflect on our journey, honor those who have contributed to our mission, and recommit to the values and aspirations that unite us.
Abilities Network continues to strive to ensure that all the people we support, with all their differences, similarities, and abilities, are valued. Without Abilities Network 10,000 individuals and families annually throughout Maryland would be left without resources to navigate their communities. Because Abilities Network exists, Maryland’s child care centers, schools, employers, recreational opportunities, and the community at large is better ready to include the babies, children, teens, adults, and seniors we support.
Donating to Abilities Network means you feel passionately about the value of all citizens and their right to be included in the community to reach their fullest potential.
